I think men generally look best with a smart haircut. It can always be styled in a more contemporary way if they are going out clubbing or something like that, but generally the best look is a sharp structured cut that suits their face and their personality. You need to communicate with your client. They may come in on a Saturday wearing a t-shirt, but may wear a suit for work so you have to think how the hair would sit against the collar of a formal shirt. I love cutting men's hair, there is as much variety and it requires as much skill as working with women's hair.
